Taylor Harris, M.A.
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

The human experience is a complex tapestry woven with different perceptions and understandings, each unique to the individual. As you embark on your therapeutic journey, you may find yourself curious about addressing relationship challenges, managing feelings and reactions that disrupt your engagement with life, or integrating overwhelming or new experiences. Underneath it all may lie a profound desire to unravel the layers of oneself, to increase insight, reconnect with the body, and move towards wholeness. It is an honor for me to witness and facilitate this process.

Specializing in working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, I address concerns such as anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, attachment and relationship challenges, systemic and institutional barriers/impacts, and existential concerns related to the meaning of life and search for purpose. My commitment to culturally sensitive care honors your experiences and identity, fostering a supportive environment where all aspects of the human experience are acknowledged and embraced. My lens is non-pathologizing, anti-colonial, neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and sex, kink, and consensual non-monogamy positive.

Taylor is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a distinguished focus on trauma recovery, somatic embodiment, depression, anxiety, addiction, attachment, and relationship challenges. She adeptly navigates systemic and institutional barriers, addressing their profound impacts, while offering insights into existential concerns surrounding the meaning of life and the quest for purpose. Taylor earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Redlands. She has completed training in EMDR and Trauma-Informed Relational Somatics, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Gottman Method for supporting individuals, couples, and groups in therapy. Her clinical experience includes working in community mental health and inpatient settings, where she has provided support to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and socioeconomically marginalized populations. Taylor has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families dealing with addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges.

Through our collaboration, we embark on a transformative journey towards healing, growth, and collective liberation.

Quote:

“Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes”. - C.G. Jung

What brings me a sense of ease:

Being immersed in nature, spending time with the people I love, and dancing!
